Time Inc.’s 120 Sports Releases On-Air Roster
Time Inc. has unveiled the faces of its upcoming live-streaming sports network, 120 Sports.
The on-air lineup is headlined by former ESPN “SportsCenter” anchor Michael Kim as well as former NFL pros Bryant McFadden and Ovie Mughelli, who are joining 120 Sports as co-hosts. Other personalities include Dave Ross, Tyler Jacobs, former Northwestern basketball player Tim Doyle, comedian Dylan McGorty, Ro Parrish, Alex Schlereth, and Laura Britt.
120 Sports, a partnership between Time Inc., its Sports Illustrated property, Chicago-based Silver Chalice, the NHL, and MLB.com, is set to premiere this spring. The network has content partnerships in place with most of the major sports leagues, outside of the NFL (which has its own video network launching soon) — though none will feature live games.
The network will deliver its live and on-demand content, often in two-minute bursts (hence the name 120 Sports), on the web and across an array of connected devices via native apps. MLB Advanced Media is handling the infrastructure required to make everything spin.Tags: espn, Live Sports, Michael Kim, MLB, MLB Advanced Media, NBA, NHL, Silver Chalice, Sports, Sports Illustrated, Sports Network, TIme Inc.
