Tout’s Content Exchange to Provide Video to Local Media Publishers
The Local Media Consortium, a collective comprised of and representing an array of newspapers, publishing companies, and local broadcasters in the US, has reached a deal with Tout to use the tech company’s publishing and syndication services for video content.
Per the deal, all Local Media publishers will now have access to Tout’s programmatic video content exchange, which matches relevant video content from top news, entertainment, and sports media brands with text-based articles on the websites of publishers represented by Local Media.
In total, Local Media represents more than 50 local media companies in markets across all 50 states. Media outlets that are members of or represented by Local Media include Newsday, the New York Daily News, the Boston Globe, and the San Francisco Chronicle, among other newspapers as well as several local TV stations. Combined, Local Media claims a monthly audience of more than 450 million unique visitors across all of its members’ web properties.
Tout’s video content exchange offers access to video from The Wall Street Journal, People Magazine, Fox Sports, and Sports Illustrated, among others. Altogether, Tout’s 500+ media partners deliver more than 2,000 clips to the exchange on a daily basis, the tech company said.Tags: Boston Globe, digital distribution, Digital Publishers, Local Content, Local Media Consortium, New York Daily News, Newsday, People Magazine, Publishers, Sports Illustrated, syndication, The Wall Street Journal, Tout
