Tubular Now Tells Creators When Fans Tweet Their Videos
People share YouTube videos all the time…usually unbeknownst to the videos’ creators. Tubular seeks to change that. By adding Twitter to its radar, Tubular will now send users Instant Alerts to keep creators up to date on the tweets that showcase their work.
According to Tubular’s data, only 15% of the over 4 million daily tweets that feature a YouTube video link include the name of the video’s maker. These millions of tweets will now undergo analysis by the Tubular Audience Graph, which will determine whether the tweet is worth sharing with a relevant online creator.
Though 2,300 major YouTube creators have started using Tubular’s alerts since its 2013 launch, they’ve never before been tuned into activity in the Twittersphere. Notifications from this realm via Tubular will now take place in real time, so content creators can see who’s tweeting their stuff practically as they tweet it.
“My focus is to help creators realize both their creative and business goals,” said Rishi Khaitan, director of product for creators and channel management at Tubular. “We’ll be rolling out new updates much more frequently to help creators build large, engaged video audiences across platforms.”
The new tweet alert service has thus far been working in a timely and relevant fashion. Over at the Call of Duty offical YouTube channel, a Tubular alert came just three seconds after a Twitter influencer with 83,000 followers tweeted the creator’s video.
Overall, Tubular has over 225 million subscribers, helping them gain a total of 2.3 billion monthly views. The digital video marketing platform monitors the behavior of 150 million plus YouTube viewers. FirstMark Capital, Canaan Partnerts, SV Angel, and individuals like Matt Coffin and Allen Debevoise invest in the company, among others.Tags: Tubular, tubular instant alerts, twitter, youtube, YouTube Creators
