The saturated pay TV market peaked in 2011 with 100.9M households, a figure expected to drop to 94.6M by 2017. Full year 2014 figures have yet to be released, but underlying trends are indicating that current market leaders, such as Comcast and Time Warner, who fail to innovate, could become obsolete.
