Amazon Extends Epix Movie Licensing Pact

Epix has extended its movie licensing pact with Amazon’s Prime Instant Video service. The multiyear pact covers new releases from Epix studio partners Paramount, MGM and Lionsgate as well as all library titles including “The Hunger Games” (pictured), “Rocky,” films in the James Bond and “Star Trek” series and Epix original productions such as documentaries, concert and comedy specials.

MTV is launching two new streaming TV and music apps in Europe next month

MTV is teaming up with leading mobile operators to give users access to its vast content library on the go with the launch of two new apps next month – MTV Play and MTV Trax.

MTV Play is a video on demand service that will feature many of MTV’s most popular shows.
