YouTube superstars Tyler Ward and Justine Ezarik (iJustine) are working with “Glee” executive producer Adam Anders and Fullscreen on a new music-competition web series called “Star Truk.” The show, which is currently in production, will aim to find the next big thing in music — literally.

Hosted by Ezarik, the “Star Truk” search and competition is different from what you’re used to when it comes to shows like these: The show will take place in a mobile recording studio built inside of a truck.

Anders and Ward will serve as judges throughout the season, with different celebrity guest judges joining the party at new stages of the competition.

Along the way, contestants will face various challenges common to singers and musicians, and be tested on how well they adapt to those situations.

The competition will culminate in one winner, determined by a fan vote. Details around how that system will work haven’t been finalized. In terms of the prize, though, the winner will receive cash, as well as the opportunity to record a single produced by Anders and released via Deep Well Records, and shoot an accompanying music video produced and directed by Anders Media.

“Star Truk” is being produced by Anders and Fullscreen — part of the company’s new-ish strategy to produce more of its own original content.

The MCN, one of the largest on YouTube, represents Tyler Ward, alongside other top creators from fellow musicians like Lindsey Stirling to filmmakers and comedians like The Fine Brothers and Grace Helbig.

It appears Anders himself will be “joining” this talent roster. “Star Truk” will premiere on a new channel created specifically for Anders and this show called AdamAndersTV, which will be managed by Fullscreen. Once the channel is populated with show content, look for Ezarik, Ward, and Fullscreen to drive their respective audiences there.

A release date hasn’t been set for “Star Truk,” but the hope is to have the first episodes out by mid-summer.

Anders’ previous credits include executive producer of “Glee,” the breakout hit on Fox from creator Ryan Murphy, as well as producing music for movies like “Rock of Ages” and Disney’s “High School Musical 3.” He’s also worked with big-name talents such as Miley Cyrus and Cee-Lo Green.

While the first season of “Star Truk” takes place in LA. If successful, the series hopes to cross-off other US cities with additional seasons.
