Univision’s La Fabrica UCI Inks Content Deal with Red Bull Media House
Univision’s La Fabrica UCI, an in-house digital studio formed in February, has partnered with Red Bull Media House to produce a series of action-packed original online programming.
The five-parter, filmed entirely in HD and available in both English and Spanish, focuses on six pro kayakers who meet up in Mexico to find the sport’s “holy grail.” The series follows Red Bull athletes Dane Jackson and Rafa Ortiz, as well as international pros Joel Kowalski (Canada), Seth Ashworth (UK), Juan Antonio de Ugarte (Peru), and Ciaran Heurteau, on a three-week trek through rural western Mexico in search of rivers and waterfalls that they’ve only seen via satellite photos and maps.
Following today’s premiere, new episodes of “First Decent” will roll out across UVideos and RedBull.com every Monday at 9am ET.
Digital video is a major element to Univision’s multi-platform content strategy, as, along with La Fabrica UCI and UVideos, Univision also operates Flama, an English-language network formed in partnership with Bedrocket.Tags: Bedrocket, Documentary Series, Flama, La Fabrica UCI, Red Bull Media House, Sports, Univision, UVideos
