Vine Stars Cameron Dallas and Nash Grier Sign Deal with Gander.tv
Gander.tv has initiated its subscription video service by signing deals with two Vine superstars. Both Cameron Dallas and Nash Grier will get to host their own shows on the streaming network, which will include regular programming and guest appearances…by one another.
The initiative will start with Grier on Wednesday, August 27 at 7pm ET. The 17-year-old has upwards of 9 million Vine followers, while Dallas, who is 19, boasts 5.4 million. Both Vine stars have made a splash outside of the six-second video app, showing up together on “Good Morning America” and “Good Day New York.” They also made a pact with AwesomenessTV not long ago to create feature film.
Since Gander.tv is a streaming network, the boys’ shows will be available for fans to watch live. A live “chat application” will also give their series an interactive edge, allow fans to talk to the Vine stars through the streaming video service. Gander.tv will also grant Dallas and Grier full control over the cameras, letting them create content for their shows independently of producers.
Gander.tv is a division of Eyes On the Go, Inc. As both Eyes On the Go and Gander.tv’s CEO and founder, Chris Carey, stated of working with Dallas and Grier, “These broadcasts will bring a highly desirable demographic to Gander.tv. The combination of building a strong subscriber base, plus attracting well-priced ads make this a huge win for us.”
Gander.tv started in 2012. Since then, the company claims an audience of 35 million unique monthly views.* The streaming network plans to expand its subscription service, noting that the deals inked with Dallas and Grier mark the first of many.
