‘What’s Trending’ Goes to London to Preview YouTube Music Awards
As you (probably) know, it’s YouTube Music Week. A bunch of creators and networks have been rolling out original, music-themed content this week, all leading up to the first-ever YouTube Music Awards this Sunday night in New York City.
For instance, yesterday AwesomenessTV debuted its TV-sized musical drama, “Side Effects,” which stars popular YouTubers like Chester See, Taryn Southern, and Meghan Rosette.
Tomorrow, the Emmy-nominated YouTube series, “What’s Trending,” plans to air a live preview of the YouTube Music Awards. It will also equal as “What’s Trending”’s first internationally broadcast show, as the team is in London this week. As one of the content partners selected by YouTube to produce stuff for the YouTube Music Awards, the show will air live from YouTube Space London, beginning at 4pm GMT — that’s 12pm ET and 9am PT for all of us in the Colonies.
The live show will feature commentary from various YouTube stars on the YouTube Music Award nominees and what they expect to happen during the show. Guests slated to appear include Wesley Chan and Philip Wang of WongFu Productions.Tags: Daily Show, Damon Berger, Emmys, Live Streams, Music Content, Shira Lazar, What's Trending, youtube, YouTube Music Awards, YouTube Music Week
