WheezySoup Joins with Aly Bongo to Help Prevent Sexual Assault
From now until Wednesday, WheezySoup’s charades app, I’m Actin’ Here, features a special “Aly Bongo” section. The Hong Kong-based YouTube star will answer your request to play on the app in support of the Association Concerning Sexual Violence Against Woman, a cause close to Bongo’s heart.
The Hong Kong organization will receive 50% of the revenue from Bongo’s play on I’m Actin’ Here. You can donate by emailing a game request to Bongo at [email protected], or you can donate directly by clicking here. In addition to the revenue generated by playing charades with Bongo, I’m Actin’ Here will also donate 80% of the profit from all in app purchases.
WheezySoup, founded by YouTubers Craig Benzine (WheezyWaiter) and Matt Hogan (GlobalSoup), teams up with Bongo as a charity initiative to help decrease the high rate of gender-based sexual assault in Hong Kong. Definitely a unique approach to raising money for charity, the app’s popularity should hopefully draw attention to an important cause.
This is WheezySoup’s first charity initiative since hiring YouTuber Christopher Bingham as its new director of brand and product relations. Bingham’s responsibilities include overseeing the company’s various charity initiatives in 2014.Tags: Aly Bongo, Association Concerning Sexual Violence Against Women, Hong Kong, I'm Actin' Here, wheezysoup
