Yahoo, Live Nation, Citi Debut Interview Series with Katie Couric
The show is an extension of an existing partnership between Live Nation and Citi, which is now coming on board as an official sponsor of the Yahoo Live. Focused exclusively on streaming live music events, Yahoo Live includes the Live Nation Channel, which is currently streaming a new live concert every day as part of a year-long tie-up between Yahoo and Live Nation.
“Backstage with Citi” will be hosted by Yahoo global anchor Katie Couric as she interviews a select number of artists. The first episode features a sit-down with the country-rock group Lady Antebellum. Yahoo Music editor Lyndsey Parker will also contribute segments and serve as an occasional host for the series.
Launching this week, “Backstage with Citi” will be available on Yahoo Music. As part of its Citi Private Pass program, cardmembers will be able to access each new episode 48 hours early by visiting the program’s site.
In addition to sponsoring Yahoo Live and the series, Citi will also run targeted ads across Yahoo’s network as part of the deal, according to Lisa Licht, SVP of marketing partnerships at Yahoo.
