YouTube Adds Editing and Music Functions to Capture App
Last year, YouTube released its Capture app to mixed reviews. The app, which allows creators to film and upload content directly to YouTube from a mobile device, suffered from a variety of technical issues at launch. However, with the support of major creators like iJustine and Toby Turner, who regularly upload via the app, Capture has become a powerful tool for many creators.
Today, YouTube announced that Capture has been upgraded to include multiple clip editing and the ability to add music from the YouTube Audio Library or iTunes. These features improve upon the Capture app’s previous update in July, which added the ability to upload videos across multiple channels.
The Capture app is currently unavailable on Android devices. However, recording and uploading to YouTube is a built-in feature on all Android phones and tablets, so the app is ultimately unnecessary.
You can check out the YouTube Capture app at iTunes, where it currently sports a 4 ½ star rating.
