YouTube Adds New Comment Management Page
YouTube is offering a new way for creators to manage comments on their videos. The video site has launched a new comment management page, which allows users to see, respond to, and moderate comments in one place.
Specific user options include the ability to remove comments, flag them for spam or abuse, give them a thumbs up, or click through to the video watch page in order to reply. Users will also be able to toggle between published comments, those that are waiting channel manager approval, and those that have been marked as spam. YouTube says it will soon add new features including inline replying and expanding all replies.
This move follows YouTube’s decision to change the commenting system on the site by integrating Google+, a move that hasn’t gone over too well among users (though the furor seems to have died down recently, as they always seem to whenever a major social media network makes a major change that users aren’t used to).Tags: comments, google, youtube, YouTube Creators
