YouTube Festival Producer DigiTour Raises More Money
DigiTour Media, the events company that organizes concerts and festivals featuring top YouTube and Vine stars, has secured additional funding from a group of executives that include Machinima chairman and co-founder Allen DeBevoise*, as well as entertainment veterans Guy Oseary and Ben Silverman.
The amount of capital raised by DigiTour, which also counts Conde Nast parent Advance Publications and Ryan Seacrest as investors, was not disclosed.
DeBevoise and Oseary previously partnered to help launch DanceOn, a multi-channel network focused on dance content and creators. The two also funded Indmusic.
In addition to the funding, DigiTour is also announcing two top executive appointments at the company. Erick Nordan is joining DigiTour as its new chief financial officer, while Diego Prats has been named chief growth officer.
Nordan comes to DigiTour from Bill Silva Management, where he managed fiscal operations on over 160 Hollywood Bowl events. At DigiTour, he will be responsible for all of the company’s finances, and will also oversee the human resources department. Prats, meanwhile, will be responsible for internal operations, and spearhead the company’s tech and product development.
Both executives will be based in LA, and will report to DigiTour founder and CEO Meridith Valiando Rojas.
“Erick will be instrumental in the coming months as we aggressively scale our tours and festivals, and we’re looking forward to Diego’s guidance in launching new products and services that serve both our growing global audience and brand partners,” said co-founders Meridith Valiando Rojas and Chris Rojas in a statement.
* Allen DeBevoise is also an investor in VideoInk.
