Zazoom Hires Former AOL Exec Christine Allegro to Expand Distribution
“Buzz60” producer Zazoom has appointed Christine Allegro as its new vice president of business development. She will be responsible for the global expansion of Zazoom’s multi-platform distribution network, which already includes the likes of AOL, Dailymotion, and NDN.
“In partnership with the Zazoom Studios team that produces our award-winning ‘Buzz60’ content and custom, on-demand video solutions for partners like AOL, Yahoo, and Blinkx, Chris will build out and evolve the Zazoom Distribution Network into a global, multi-platform service for an even more diverse collection of partners,” said Zazoom COO Steve Bradbury in a statement.
Previously Allegro spent 10 years at AOL holding multiple positions, including a stint as GM of AOL’s video portal.
“Buzz60,” which also serves as Zazoom’s flagship series, accumulated more than 165 million views in 2012. The company has content partnerships in place with Yahoo and Blinkx to produce and distribute original programming. Its YouTube presence currently reaches more than 20,000 subscribers.Tags: AOL, Blinkx, Buzz60, Exec Moves, Movers, News, Yahoo!, youtube, Zazoom
