Upwave, a new multi-platform health and wellness content brand from Turner Broadcasting, is previewing a new show online in advance of its television premiere — a practice that’s becoming all too common among TV programmers.
The new show, title “The Tim Ferriss Experiment,” follows the titular best-selling author, who will apply his well-known rapid-learning techniques to become an expert in a new task every week. Tasks will range from mastering the art of dating to starting a new business in under a week. The first episode, which is available for free via upwave.com, YouTube, Amazon Instant Video, iTunes, Google Play, Xbox Video, and the PS3, among other outlets, follows Ferriss on a crash course to learn how to drum from music legends Stewart Copeland of The Police and Chris Frazier of Foreigner.
The TV premiere is scheduled for 8pm ET, Sunday, December 1, on HLN. It will be the middle show of a three-hour block devoted to Upwave-branded programming.
“The Tim Ferriss Experiment” is produced by Zero Point Zero Productions (“Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown”).
