Anthony Quintal, better known on YouTube as Lohanthony, has been tapped to host a new online recap show for MTV’s “Teen Wolf.”
Called “Teen Wolf After, After Show,” the new online program will follow each episode of “Teen Wolf,” which is currently midway through its third season. Similar to the style of recap shows on networks like AMC, “Teen Wolf After, After Show,” which will be co-hosted by comedian Morgan Evans, will feature interviews with the TV show’s cast and crew, as well as appearances from celebrity fans.
“Teen Wolf After, After Show” will be available on MTV.com as well as the network’s affiliate sites.
As part of Quintal’s deal with MTV, the creator will also create companion reaction videos in the “fan girl” style he’s known for on YouTube. These videos will also be available on MTV.com, as soon as each “Teen Wolf” episode and recap show have aired.
Quintal is networked with Fullscreen and represented there by Andrew Graham. He currently has more than 800K subscribers on YouTube, with close to 1.2 million followers on Twitter, as well as 1.1 million fans on Instagram. Previously, MTV had selected Quintal to be part of the network’s “Instaratti” for the 2013 Video Music Awards.
“We wanted to bring Lohanthony’s enthusiasm and energy into the new ‘Teen Wolf After, After Show.’ He is our target demographic, but more importantly, we appreciated that as a fan himself, he speaks as the voice of community and connects with others around the show, “ said Matt McDonough, senior manager, social marketing at MTV, in a statement.
“Teen Wolf” airs on MTV on Monday nights at 10 pm ET.
