AOL is bringing its AOL On Network, which launched in the US just under two years ago, to the UK. It’s the first non-North American market for the growing online video platform, which has helped jet AOL to the number-one position among comScore’s US rankings for video ad properties as well as a mainstay in comScore’s top-five video content properties.
Altogether, AOL On currently offers more than 750,000 pieces of video content, including an array of originals from the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow, Nicole Richie, Justine Ezarik (iJustine), and Sarah Jessica Parker.
The network also features a huge library of third-party clips. UK content partners for AOL On include Endemol Beyond, Channel 4 News, ITN, Scripps Networks International, MyMovies, Zoom.in, Parentchannel.tv, and Little Dot Studios.
All of this content will be available on the AOL On video hub in the UK, as well as via publishing partners such as Trinity Mirror, Telegraph Media Group, and TalkTalk, and AOL-owned properties like AOL, The Huffington Post UK, Parentdish, and TechCrunch.
The arrival of AOL On adds to AOL’s video presence in the UK, which so far has consisted of Adap.tv, the company’s programmatic video-ad platform, and Be On, its branded content syndication business.
