“Spin,” a short film that unfolds in a newsroom starring Wilson Cleveland and Hartley Sawyer, is now available across a number of VOD and SVOD platforms.
The film from Iris MediaWorks focuses on a financial news network where a journalist (played by Cleveland) seeks to expose a Wall Street mogul’s (Sawyer) illegal activities on the air. “Spin” plays out over the course of the two lead characters’ TV interview.
“Spin” also has a multi-media element. Since the story focuses on media as the “court of public opinion,” Cleveland created (fictional) editorial about the film’s characters that they actually refer to in the film. Here’s a link to the articles on Medium.
Cleveland wrote “Spin” with Yuri Baranovsky, which Noah Workman directed. The same team also works on the comedy series “Leap Year” that takes place in Silicon Valley, and Sawyer and Cleveland have starred together before in a short, online film, “Kept Man.”
You can watch “Spin” on Vimeo On Demand, YouTube, Facebook, ShowYou, IndieFlix, iTunes, Google Play…and the list goes on. It’s also available to stream at TheSpinMovie.com…or you can just watch it right here:
