YouTube personalities and brothers Mike and Josh Greenfield will bring their cooking expertise to MTV’s TV channels and digital platforms this spring.
MTV has ordered 12 half-hour episodes of the Brooklyn-based series, called “Brothers Green: EATS!” In it, the Greenfields will cook using methods easy for young people to grasp, avoiding pricy, high-end ingredients to make truly good dishes (as they’ve been doing on YouTube by showcasing “dorm room-style” cooking tips on the Brothers Green Eats channel).
The brothers’ love for music will also play into the series. Various musical guests will appear on “Brothers Green,” though no specific names have been announced.
Storyville is producing the cooking series for MTV’s international channels and platforms. “Brothers Green” is executive produced by Betsy Schechter and Caroline Christopher of Storyville and Bruce Gillmer and Elyse Zaccaro of MTV International.
