Zealot Networks, a digital media startup founded by former Maker Studios CEO Danny Zappin, has hired former Google executive Jeben Berg as its new head of creative marketing solutions.
In the role, Berg will head up strategic development of Zealot’s publishing platforms and content partnerships, as well as the company’s branded content solutions offering for marketers.
Most recently, Berg was a creative director at Google, where he worked with brands on digital strategy and creative for YouTube and other Google platforms. Prior to Google proper, Berg spent a few years at YouTube, where he was the creative lead for “Google BrandLab at YouTube,” a unit dedicated to helping brands better understand how to use YouTube for marketing.
Berg and Zappin have some shared history. From 2011–2012, he was director of audience and talent innovation at Maker Studios.
