Hulu has renewed its supernatural comedy series “Deadbeat” for a third season.
The half-hour comedy — one of multiple original series Lionsgate is producing for Hulu — centers on a hapless New York City-based medium who tries to help ghosts settle their unfinished business. The series stars Tyler Labine (“Reaper”), Brandon T. Jackson (“Tropic Thunder”), Cat Deeley (“So You Think You Can Dance”), and Lucy DeVito.
A premiere date for season three will be announced at a later time, Hulu said. Previous seasons have debuted on the streaming service in the springtime.
“Deadbeat” is co-created by Cody Heller and Brett Konner (“Wilfred”) and executive produced by showrunner Dan Lagana. Producers include Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, and Sarah Esberg from Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment.
