Zealot Networks, the digital first media company launched by Maker Studios founder Danny Zappin announced today that it had acquired AllScreen, a venture backed video syndication technology firm.
Launched in 2010 by Jason Wilk and Paras Chitrakar, Culver City, Ca.-based AllScreen specializes in the distribution of video content across devices and platforms with their proprietary video formats and scalable syndication methods. The company currently boasts 250 million monthly videos, and partnerships with more than 500 publishers and 70 premium content partners.
AllScreen has a host of notable backers including Mark Cuban (owner of the Dallas Mavericks and AXS TV), video game pioneer Skip Paul, New England Patriots president Jonathan Kraft, and seed fund incubator Y Combinator. Zealot will acquire 100% of AllScreen’s assets for an undisclosed amount consisting of both cash and stock. The company is the latest in an ongoing shopping spree by Zealot that has included media, entertainment, management and technology companies.
