The OwnZones Media Network has announced a partnership which will bring exclusive content from entertainment media outlet Variety to the OwnZones subscription video platform.
Launched in 2010, OwnZones is a video content aggregation service that provides audiences with niche premium video content via a subscription VOD distribution model. The company is best known for its OTT video content partnerships with celebrity influencers such as chef Aarti Sequeira, fitness experts Obi Obadike, Jennifer Nicole Lee, Janis Saffell and Basheera Ahmad and celebrity stylist Ali Levine. The deal with Variety is the latest in a series of pacts between OwnZones and high profile media brands including Reuters, The Guardian, CineSport, The Motley Fool and What’s Trending.
Established in 1905, Variety is a widely-recognized entertainment industry brand, with coverage ranging from business news to celebrity content. It’s the celebrity side of Variety’s coverage that OwnZones thinks will resonate with its subscribers. “We’ve certainly seen a rise in subscriber demand for celebrity and entertainment content, and we not only want to meet that demand, but also exceed expectations,” said Dan Goman, founder and CEO of OwnZones, in a statement.
Content on Variety’s dedicated OwnZones channel, “Variety Studios,” is expected to include behind-the-scenes-looks at the high profile entertainment events, as well as celebrity interviews.
