Brillstein Entertainment Partners confirmed that it has signed top social media star Cameron Dallas as a management client. The news was first reported by Deadline.
The signing marks Brillstein Entertainment Partners’ first foray into the digital influencer arena. Dallas’ point person at the firm will be manager Ben Curtis.
Dallas can currently be seen opposite fellow Vine star Nash Grier and Joey Bragg (Disney Channel’s “Liv and Maddie”) in the Fullscreen Films direct-to-digital feature “The Outfield,” which shot to the top of the iTunes drama charts two days after its Nov. 10 release. It marked Dallas’ second feature film leading role following Awesomeness Films’ “Expelled,” a “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”-esque comedy that topped the iTunes charts upon its release in December 2014.
A 21-year-old native of Chino, Ca., Dallas began his social media career on Instagram, then branched out to Vine in 2013, and quickly became one of the six-second video platform’s top stars. Today, he has 8.8 million followers on Vine, making him the 11th most followed Viner. He also has 8.5 million followers on Instagram, 5.6 million followers on Twitter, and 4 million subscribers on YouTube.
Last summer, Dallas shot a support role in the comedy sequel “Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising,” starring Seth Rogen, Zac Efron and Selena Gomez, which Universal is scheduled to release on May 20, 2016.
Dallas continues to be repped by his agents at WME and attorneys at Hanson Jacobsen.
