JASH and Thruline’s Amy Zyi, co-producers of Sarah Silverman’s new stand-up comedy special, just scored a deal with Netflix. It has been confirmed that the new comedy special, slated to shoot later this month, will launch globally on Netflix at the end of May.
Netflix has recently become the home for brand new stand-up comedy specials from Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, Amy Schumer and Jerry Seinfeld. The online streaming giant continues to grow as a hub for original comedy specials, including 2016’s Emmy-nominated shows from both John Mulaney and Patton Oswalt (2016 Emmy winner for Writing for a Variety Special), and recent specials from Cedric the Entertainer, Iliza Shlesinger, Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy, Russell Peters, and a long list of other comedy greats.
