go90 has picked up eight episodes of “Liberty Crossing” a new scripted workplace comedy from Insurrection Media and MXN Entertainment in the vein of “24” meets “Homeland” meets “The Office.” The series, which is set to start production in May and slated for release later this year on go90, was created and will be exec produced by Emmy-nominated Daniel Radosh (“The Daily Show”) & Michael Harrison.
Oscar-nominated producer Mason Novick (“Juno”, “500 Days of Summer”), pictured, Michelle Knudsen (“Hidden”) and Emmy-nominated Deborah Henderson (“Snow in August”) are also on board as executive producers for the series. Todd Berger is attached to direct the project.
“We’re excited to be working on this project because of the smartness and sophistication of the scripts,” said Novick. “Daniel and Mike have crafted a show that feels both current and politically relevant.”
The deal was brought to go90 as part of the streaming service’s first-look deal with its co-owned media venture with Hearst — Complex Networks.
“It’s an honor to be supporting such a gifted creative team on this clever show,” added Kiliaen Van Rensselaer, CEO of InsurrectionMedia. “And thanks to Complex Networks, this hysterical series will have a chance to surprise and delight audiences later this year.”
