In an effort to ride the rapidly growing esports wave, Abrams Artist Agency has launched a gaming division to represent top-tier gamer and gaming influencers.
Over 15 top-tier gaming clients have been signed to the new division. Agent Miles Lozano will oversee all aspects of representation within the gaming vertical, including content monetization, channel growth, branding and marketing deals.
“We have been growing exponentially in various digital verticals with marquee talent,” said CEO and Founder Harry Abrams in a statement. “Miles has brought significant signings to the table and we are confident he will help these clients expand their businesses in the ever-growing gaming and ESports verticals. We are excited about the future and opportunities this focus will provide our clients.”
Abrams Artists’ move into gaming could prove to be a smart one. Over the past few years the esports industry has experienced a steady rise in revenue, which is expected to reach $1.5 billion by 2020. And because the industry attracts a younger audience, it has been said by some — like Twitch’s director of esports sponsorship sales Nathan Lindberg— to be the best way to future proof a business.
The new division will fall within the agency’s alternative, licensing and digital media department.
