Fullscreen is laying off approximately 3% of its total workforce, the company announced, exclusively with VideoInk this morning. The bulk of the layoffs will include the operations and team behind Fullscreen's subscription VOD service by the same name. CEO George Strompolos delivered the news to staffers earlier this morning. Fullscreen's SVOD launched officially about 18 months ago after about 18 months prior development on the product. It has had a slow, but steady build on user base with downloads in the 10's of millions across its Android, iTunes, Amazon Video Direct in what Stromopolos says is "quite well" for the service.
